That's right!  On Sunday night, I rolled a 224-224-193 for a 641 series to place 1st in my league sweeper.  This was the finish I had in mind to bring the Summer league to a close.  I finished the Summer league with a 185.5 average, up 3 pins from my book average 182.

During Summer league, my team place 3rd overall and took team scratch series with a 2435.  The Fall season starts in 2 weeks.

It's been a while since the last time I rolled a 600 series.  My games were 254-189-173.  X's frames 2 through 8, leaving the 6-7-10 split in the 9th frame of the 254 game.  I was only out of the pocket a few times all night.  I stopped carrying in the second and third games.  I also missed a couple of bone-head spares, including a 10 pin and the 3-9.  My average will jump from 181 to 184.  My team is a game and a half out of first place with 3 weeks left in the Summer league.

I took 5th place in a 4th of July ,40-frame game tournament.  It was a continuous 40 frames with no breaks after the traditional 10 frames. This format was interesting because every frame was something different.  From No-taps to bonus point frames to point deductions for pins left standing, the format kept things interesting and enjoyable.  The format leveled the playing field for everyone.

My winter season concluded in Vegas at Southpoint casino for sweeps. I received most improved bowler for the second year in-a-row, raising my book average from 169 to 182.  I've discovered that my Fury Pearl doesn't work for me.  It has been banished from my bag.  The Storm Special Agent is my benchmark ball.  On a sad note, since my team finished in 5th place, not 1st place this year, my team is retiring the "Bowling 4 Beer" franchise and uniforms; as we are looking for a new identity.  Any suggestions?

I've been ashamed of my bowling, until recently. I rolled a 626 two weeks ago and a 628 last week.  I demoted my Fury Pearl to the 2 position, possibly the 3 position and put the Storm Special Agent back to #1. The Fury Pearl was taking off on me at the back end, which was leaving me nasty splits.  I need to go with what works and not listen to the hype of the Fury pearl.

It doesn't look like my team will pull it out this season.  We made a run at the end to put us 4 games out of 1st place; but there's only 2 weeks left before position round. We needed to sweep last week, but we got smoked instead. One of my team members had a very bad night. It will take a miracle to have a chance at the title.
